Hi are you asking about closed captions of subtitles? They are two different things and are implemented differently. Most subtitles are hard-coded with the film and are controlled from within the content and not globally. Closed captions can be controlled in the app you're using to view content. I believe there may be a global toggle for CC and that's probably under acessibility in settings for the device.
