Routines and alarm function turn off shuffle on my playlists and always play from the first song

I am trying to set up my alarm/morning routine to play a spotify playlist to wake me up and then continue playing that playlist while I get ready for work. The alarm plays random songs to wake me up which is perfect but then when it comes to the action of continuing to play songs from the playlist, it turns off shuffle and always starts from the very first song in the list, instead of picking a random song from the list or just continuing to play the song I first woke up to. How can I make it play randomly and keep shuffle on?
