Incognito mode in Chrome on Android is designed to not save your Browse history, cookies, or site data on your device. When you close all Incognito tabs, this information is generally cleared for that session.
However, there's a specific "cache" that Incognito mode doesn't clear directly, and that's the DNS cache. Your device's DNS cache stores the IP addresses of websites you've visited, even in Incognito mode.
Here's how to clear the DNS cache on Chrome Android:
- Open Chrome on your Android device.
- In the address bar, type
chrome://net-internals/#dns
and press Enter. - On the left-hand side, tap DNS.
- Tap the Clear host cache button.
This action will clear the DNS cache, which is the main "cache" associated with Incognito Browse that you might want to explicitly clear.
Important considerations:
- Incognito mode does not make you anonymous. Your internet service provider (ISP), network administrator (if you're on a work or school network), and the websites you visit can still see your activity.
- Other browser data: While Incognito mode prevents saving history and cookies for that session, your regular Chrome Browse data (from non-Incognito tabs) is separate. To clear that, you'd go to Chrome settings > Privacy and security > Clear Browse data.
- Restarting your device can also help clear some temporary data and caches.

Clear your browser's cookies and other data from the Advanced tab. Time range All Time
Make sure site settings is checked
Did that fix the issue?
