Multi User Assistant in Hub Mode

This issue needs to be escalated. How did Google make a product that for all intents and purposes is meant as a replacement for their hub products but it does not support multi user Google assistant. It is essentially a brick for anyone but the admin user. How is that a viable product? Did they only dogfood this produce to single people living alone?

Thanks for reaching out. Have you enabled the settings to let anyone, including guests and children, to use Google Assistant? You can read more about this and steps to activate it here.

Although i have enabled the option to let anyone speak to the assistant on the pixel tablet in hub mode, the tablet wouldn't let my wife to add items to our shopping list (a google note) while the tablet is locked. Assistant is giving her the reply that she needs to unlock the devices screen first. What a nonsense is this?

The same issue is happening to me. I have the setting to allow anyone to use assistant but it always asks her to unlock the device.
