Keeping Android and Google Play Safe in 2025!
Announcement
Keeping Android and Google Play safe for billions of users and millions of developers is our top priority, so we are always investing in stronger protections. We’re excited to share our 2025 plans for an even safer ecosystem.
This year, we’re launching more to help developers build safer apps, faster and more easily. We’ll
- Give you more policy and SDK guidance, right as you code in Android Studio.
- Launch even more pre-review checks this year to help you avoid common policy pitfalls
- Streamline how you can fix issues directly in your Google Play Console
We’re also enhancing Play Integrity API with stronger protection for even more users. We’re:
- Making Play Integrity API faster, more reliable, and more private for users on Android 13 (API level 33) and above. Opt in today or wait for the automatic rollout in May.
- Launching new features to help you deal with emerging threats, such as the ability to re-identify abusive and risky devices while preserving user privacy.
- Building more tools to help you guide users to fix issues, like needing security updates
And of course, we’ll provide you with more policy support, including expanding our Google Play Developer Help Community to more languages, such as Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Portuguese.
