If you are experiencing issues receiving or sending emails with your Gmail account, please review the following steps:
 
Fix sync errors
If your Gmail app isn’t syncing automatically, you might not be able to send or receive emails. To fix this on your Gmail account, you may want to try these troubleshooting steps.
 
Check your storage
You need storage to send and receive emails and if you are running out of space, syncing won't work. The storage management page helps with your storage taken up by Photos, Drive, and Gmail.
You can also make bulk deletions from the storage management tool (to free up more space, you may want to also check and clear for any files in your Trash/Bin. Items deleted may not be recoverable).
 
Note: To prevent immediate storage reoccupation after deleting files, you have the option to disable auto-backup, as there might be existing files queued for backup. You can also change the backup quality of your photos to fit your preferences or save storage space.
 
Prevent valid emails from going to Spam
When you block a sender, even when you remove their emails from Spam, Gmail still automatically identifies their emails as spam. You can remove them from Spam and future emails from that sender won’t go to the Spam folder. To learn more, visit this help center article.
 
Unable to send emails?
To successfully send and deliver emails to personal Gmail accounts, review our email sender guidelines. If your primary domain sends around 5,000 or more messages to personal Gmail accounts in a 24-hour period, check this section for compliance with our guidelines.
